The Gatehouse
Constructed from 125mm insulated panels, The Gatehouse delivers a cool haven on our hottest days, and will retain the warmth of the wood-fire on the coldest of frosty nights. Stack a good log on the fire after dinner, and you will enjoy a warm house throughout the night.
The Kitchen
The kitchen comes complete with quality cutlery and essential utensils; hotel-grade crockery; quality pots & pans; microwave containers; and assorted glassware. The pantry is stocked with a selection of teas and coffees, sugar, salt & pepper, kitchen papers and wraps. A full-size refrigerator and ample free cupboard space provide adequate storage for your supplies of perishable goods.
The Wood-fired Stove
The heart of The Gatehouse is the wood-fired stove. It features two stove-top cooking plates, an oven big enough to take a 32cm pizza tray and a generous firebox. Efficient design makes this stove very user-friendly, even for novices. Firewood and fire-starters are provided. But if you’re still uncertain, we are happy to build and light the fire for you as required.
The Living Space
The living space is furnished with a 2-seat leather lounge, a leather tub chair and a foot-stool that doubles as a convenience table. Satellite TV, a sound system and ample power outlets enable you to view, listen to and enjoy your favourite entertainment media, and a standard lamp provides ample illumination for a good read.
The Bedroom
The queen bed is enhanced by hotel-grade bed linen, a memory foam mattress top, four styles of pillow to choose from, and a snuggle-up doona. A bedside lamp and a double power outlet are located on each side of the bed. A full-length mirror door completes the wardrobe which has two hanging spaces and six shelves.
The Bathroom
We are particularly pleased with the bathroom in the Gatehouse. The cedar slat floor delivers something special in comfort, convenience and the pleasant natural cedar scent that fills the room. Antique brass taps and fittings add another quality touch. Environmentally-friendly hand and body washes, shampoo and conditioners are provided, as are luxurious bath sheets, hand towels, face washers and floor mats.
The Verandah
We think the view from the verandah is rather spectacular, and you can enjoy it in privacy and comfort. With a huge 27m2 of floor space under an insulated roof, the verandah is furnished with a day bed, a large comfy chair, a bar setting for two, coat and shoe racks and a gas BBQ.
But best of all is that view!
It’s available day and night, is ever-changing and always fascinating.
